Arkansas lawmakers are weighing legislation that could pierce the pharmaceutical industry’s federal liability shield for vaccine injuries by holding corporate executives criminally liable for ‘vaccine harms’ if they concealed evidence of risks associated with a vaccine that subsequently seriously injured or killed the recipient.

Under Senate Bill 6, introduced by Republican State Sen. Bryan King, an executive officer of a pharmaceutical company that “knowingly hides, conceals, omits, or otherwise withholds evidence, documentation, or information that the vaccine has dangerous effects,” would be found guilty of a felony and face a prison sentence of one year to life.

The bill is pending before the Arkansas Senate. King also introduced Senate Bill 5, to hold Pharma executives criminally liable for “prescription drug harm.”

Previous versions of both bills unanimously passed last year in the Arkansas Senate but died in the Arkansas House.

Ray Flores, senior outside counsel for Children’s Health Defense (CHD), welcomed the proposed legislation. He told The Defender:

“Regarding vaccines and other health-related issues, the public is increasingly frustrated with the impervious protection current law and corporate structure afford. The time is ripe to single out those ultimate decision-makers who benefit the most.

“This is an attempt, done properly through legislation, to address that powerlessness currently radiating throughout society.”

California-based healthcare attorney Rick Jaffe called the proposed legislation “an excellent jumping-off point for the serious discussion the country needs to have about vaccines.”

King’s office did not respond to The Defender’s request for comment by press time.

Federal liability shield may not protect against criminal charges Two federal laws provide civil immunity to vaccine manufacturers.

The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 grants manufacturers broad protection from civil liability for injuries resulting from vaccines listed on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s childhood immunization schedule.

Under the 1986 act, people injured by these vaccines can file a claim under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

Vaccines like the COVID-19 shots, introduced as an “emergency countermeasure” to address a public health emergency, are covered under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act).

Under the PREP Act, manufacturers and other “covered persons”—including doctors, nurses and pharmacists who administer the vaccines—are exempt from liability. Vaccine injury claims for this category of vaccines are filed with the federal Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program.

In an analysis for TrialSite News, attorney Steven O’Connor suggested the proposed Arkansas bill could bypass the federal civil liability shields for vaccine makers.

“While Pharma execs and their firms face sturdy protections against civil liability for vaccine issues, there is no comparable protection for criminal liability,” O’Connor wrote.

“With much of the nation concerned about inadequate safety and efficacy research for our COVID-19 vaccines, Arkansas may be leading the way in a societal shift which will put more onus” on Big Pharma “to act in a transparent, and non-misleading, fashion,” O’Connor added.

O’Connor noted that corporations can be charged with crimes and their executives can, in many instances, also “face charges for actions of the business as a whole.” He cited a March report by Public Citizen that showed an “uptick” in corporate prosecutions since 2022.

O’Connor cited recent U.S. Department of Justice charges against “a swath of defendants relating to distribution of almost 70 million opioid pills” as an example of how Pharma executives can be held criminally liable. Five Pharma distributor executives are among the defendants facing federal charges.

“If criminal activity occurred during the development, manufacturing, distribution and post-administration surveillance of vaccines, the corporate leaders should be held criminally responsible,” said Dr. Joel Wallskog, a Wisconsin orthopedic surgeon who no longer practices due to injuries he sustained from the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. “If there is evidence that they committed criminal acts and put profits before people, they should serve time in prison.”

Wallskog, co-chairman of React19, a nonprofit representing vaccine injury victims, said the key is to get some of these cases into court, where they may uncover evidence implicating the government and federal regulatory bodies in addition to pharmaceutical company executives.

“The discovery process would be very interesting, to know who in government and Pharma knew what and when about the failure of the vaccines to prevent infection and transmission, and the alarming incidence of adverse events,” Wallskog said.

Wallskog said the Arkansas legislation would serve as “a way for those Americans injured by the COVID-19 shots to seek some financial remedy.”

Law could face obstacles

Arkansas’s proposed bill could face obstacles, said Kim Mack Rosenberg, general counsel for CHD.

“The acts introduced in Arkansas are interesting but also, in my reading, somewhat vague and they leave open many questions and terms—such as what it means to introduce a product to market—that are not defined.”

Rosenberg also noted that the bills will have a limited duration, as they would expire at the end of 2026.

Dr. Meryl Nass, founder of Door to Freedom, told The Defender she “salutes Sen. King for creating this new class of crime” but also pointed out that the proposed legislation “does not involve financial penalties.”

“Should there not be a civil crime of vaccine harm in which injured civilians could receive monetary benefits from the pharmaceutical company officers or the company itself?” Nass asked.

Jaffe said the Arkansas bill “aims unnecessarily high” by exclusively targeting executives.

“I’m not sure how many presidents of Pharma companies know about the specifics of the clinical trials, so they could be exonerated on the knowledge requirement,” Jaffe said. “I think the law should be broadened out to make sure it can target the division heads and people who actually know about the adverse effects and may have hidden them from their superiors.”

And Flores suggested that, at least for vaccines covered under the PREP Act, federal law might supersede Arkansas state law. “The PREP Act’s blanket protection … would most likely extend to those who commit such crimes concerning COVID-19 vaccines since a covered person is immune from suit and liability.”

Jaffe called the proposed laws positive, despite their flaws. “I’d like to see more states propose the same kind of law,” Jaffe said. “If enough states do that, maybe Congress will get involved for national legislation.”

Rosenberg agreed:

“Τhe larger questions these acts raise certainly need to be addressed and, I think, represent a growing recognition by Americans that there are serious and potentially criminal actions taken by pharmaceutical interests and others in the health/medical field and that, for example, what happened with opioids may not be as exceptional, unfortunately, as many people thought.

“The population’s distrust is growing and the lack of transparency and liability in many instances only fuels that distrust.”

RESEARCHER DAN PEER: ‘We discovered that altering the proportions of lipids comprising the nanoparticles determines their destination in the bloodstream.’

Developing new drugs to treat long-existing diseases is vital, but many of these medications don’t reach their targets because an organ or tissue gets in the way. 

Now, Tel Aviv University researchers have accomplished a world first, successfully delivering mRNA-based drugs to the intestine without passing through the liver. This groundbreaking development could make possible effective treatments for chronic and incurable inflammatory diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis that cause much misery to their victims. 

About seven million people around the world and 15% of the US population suffer from inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), most of them developing their first signs before the age of 40, and many of them recalling the onset of symptoms during childhood or young adulthood. 

By 2019, there were 46,074 patients with IBD in Israel, corresponding to a national prevalence of 519 per 100,000, of whom 54.1% had Crohn’s and 45.9% had ulcerative colitis. 

The team members have successfully transported lipid nanoparticles encapsulating messenger RNA (mRNA) to the immune system of the small and large intestines bypassing the liver. Just changing the composition of the nanoparticles, the researchers showed that mRNA-based drugs can be directed straight to target cells, avoiding the liver. Medications meant to target specific cells in particular organs may be toxic to the liver. Drugs should not get “stuck” in the liver; ideally, the drug would reach the target organ first, and any remnants would then break down in the liver.

“We discovered it through random screening. We weren’t looking for it. It works this way in healthy people too,” Peer told The Jerusalem Post in an interview. 

“We are thinking about using it against colon cancer. I gave a lecture on it at a scientific conference in California, and the audience was very enthusiastic. Pharmaceutical companies that want to produce new drugs have to do clinical studies over the next year or so. It can help patients relatively fast.” 

Crohn's disease

Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract that belongs to a collection of conditions known as IBD. It is named after Dr. Burrill Crohn who first described the disease 93 years ago along with colleagues Dr. Leon Ginzburg and Dr. Gordon Oppenheimer. The disease can occur at any age but is most often diagnosed in teens and young adults. Studies have shown that between 1.5% and 28% of people with IBD have a first-degree relative such as a parent, child, or sibling who also has one of the diseases. Even though there is a genetic component associated with an increased risk of IBD, it’s impossible to predict who may get Crohn’s disease based on family history.

Crohn’s disease most commonly affects the end of the small bowel and the beginning of the colon, but inflammation of the intestine can “skip” or leave normal areas in between patches of diseased intestine. With ulcerative colitis, only the innermost lining of the colon (the large intestine) is affected, and inflammation of the intestine does not “skip.”

The research study was led by post-doctoral fellow Dr. Riccardo Rampado, together with vice president for research and development, Dan Peer, a pioneer in the development of mRNA therapeutics and director of the Laboratory of Precision Nano-Medicine at the Shmunis School of Biomedical and Cancer Research. 

From The Earth

 

Do you know how White folks got rich? Have you ever been to Macy’s? Gimbles? All of these big department stores, like Sanger-Harris in Atlanta? Did you ever go shopping for jewels at Kay Jewelers?

You did? But you don’t even care who owns it, do you? How did they get it? Brothers and sisters, when the Jews came into America, the more “seasoned” Jews had backpacks, with lots of things in the backpack that the people in the South needed.

So they loaded the Jewish fellow up that had just come over from the old country with a “100-pound backpack.” And if you’re thinking, “Aww man, that’s a lot of weight!”: Well, if you’re in the Army, you have to carry that too, don’t you? Don’t worry about that then; because now you are “carrying something for yourself.”

Now look at this: They came with their backpacks, and they sold pots and pans and things that the people would need. They sold to the slave master and they sold to the slave who was on the plantation!

From those backpacks, they consolidated, and then started setting up stores in Alabama, in Mississippi. And in their stores, they would tell you that you couldn’t come in there; or, “You go round there (to the back).”

See, they set it up for themselves at our expense, and from there they became bigger and bigger, where they controlled huge department stores. Now when you go in the department stores, Jews own most of that; but it started from cotton.

Well, we’re studying you now. Suppose we go back South and buy up the plantations? Some of them may not want to sell, but we may give them “an offer they can’t refuse.” See, if God is with you, He is going to help you! We’re not stealing, we’re buying: “Okay, how much acreage do you have? We’d like to have all of that.” From the farm is where all industry starts!

Consider what you can produce from “one bale of cotton”: 215 jeans, 249 bed sheets, 409 men’s sport shirts, 690 terry bath towels, 765 men’s dress shirts; 1,217 men’s t-shirts; 1,256 pillowcases; 2,104 boxer shorts; 2,419 men’s briefs; 3,085 diapers; 4,321 mid-calf socks; 6,436 women’s knit briefs; 21,960 women’s handkerchiefs; or, 313,600 “$100 bills.” All that came from one bale of cotton.

When the Jews sent the cotton North to their brother who had a mill that turned the cotton into cloth, that brother then sold the cloth to his brother in New York, and they made the jeans, the pillowcases; they made the sanitary napkins; they made the baby diapers—from cotton!

Now, if we could pick it for the White man, and make him rich, what’s wrong with us, now, owning huge tracts of land with cotton growing? “Well, I don’t feel like pickin’ no cotton … .” No, they’ve already made a machine, so you just buy the machine, and you won’t have to mess up your hands again.

But “the machine” doesn’t take everything out of the field! So we could take a young brother and show him how to pick it, and give him a decent wage. Clean the field, and bale the cotton! And then start an industry from cotton that gives your people what? Jobs. Jobs, just from cotton!

We must learn ‘Growing Power’ to become self-sufficient land owners. The Messenger said that “God is curtailing the land on its sides”—and this is written in the Holy Qur’an. If you look at the storms that are raging on the East Coast, the West Coast; the fires, you will see that He is pushing people toward the center of the country!

Now, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said we should start North, and go South, buying land. Well, I like Michigan; at the top of Michigan, called “the thumb”: They are the greatest producers of the navy bean.

They (the navy beans produced in the region) had a little disease recently. … And that’s good, because God promised them disease! He didn’t promise that for us.

Do we eat corn? Do we eat rye? Do we eat barley? Do we need wheat? Well, then let’s study what are the wheat-producing states! Now, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin are states that either produce corn and/or soybeans;

And Wisconsin also produces dairy products. And, we have a little farm in Michigan—but, we won’t grow soybeans, because we don’t eat that. (We’ll tell you why at another time.) We grow the navy bean.

Agricultural scientists once came down from the University of Michigan, and they said, “Umm, Farrakhan, navy beans don’t grow in this kind of soil!” I said, “Well, watch and see!”

We planted the navy beans; then the people from the University came again, and they couldn’t believe it! The bean was so nice … . Man, you put it in the pot, and it just acts like it wants to get in your stomach!

We met a man named Will Allen: A giant Black man! He taught us how to “sweeten the land” away from the pesticides! So during one fall/winter, we planted winter wheat. Mr. Allen said, “But don’t let it ‘seed’: Cut it down just before it seeds, and turn it under.”

(i.e. “cover crops”/“crop rotation”). We had over 50 acres where we planted winter wheat; and when it got to the point where it was about to “seed,” we cut it down, turned it under; then, we planted sorghum (which produces a sweetener), and that cane grew three, four, five feet tall!

But after it grew we cut it down, and turned it under. We also planted “winter rye”; and it wasn’t a week before the whole field had turned green! So by springtime, we will turn that crop under, and then plant our navy beans. We checked the “ph factor” of the land—because you have a “ph factor”! 

We are from the Earth, and if you don’t know how to care for the Earth, the Earth won’t care for you! And if you love God, and love the Earth, then the Earth will give you all the health and well-being that you need;

But you must know how to care for what God has given us! And since White folks (not “all” White people, but those that were in power): Because you just messed up the Earth, with your greedy self, you’ve got to go!

Looks Easy

 Elijah Muhammad had that “mountain,” that “uphill road” to climb for 40 long years, going to prison. … Not because he was a “wicked” man, but because America did not want him preaching The Word that he was given while America was prosecuting a war with Japan.  And after 40 years of suffering, 40 years of rejection, 40 years of being misunderstood, and mislabeled by the Wicked as a “hate teacher;” as “a man that Black people,” and White people as well, “should not listen to”—at that 40th year he departed from us.

He had already said to me: “Brother, you may sit as ‘the Father over the house’ in my absence,” and he would send people to me from time to time, telling me, “Remember, brother, Aaron had a hard job when Moses left. …” When he left, I did start having a “hard time”—and it continues to this very moment. But as my Spiritual Father, Elijah Muhammad, was faithful in delivering that Message without fear of The Enemy’s evil plans against him, I, too, am delivering that Message.

I am sorry that it’s preaching “the doom of a world” and “the salvation of a people.” Nevertheless, it is what must be taught in order that you know and understand “The Time and What Must Be Done.” Again, if I don’t do this job of speaking truth to power, even if it costs me my life, or imprisonment, or being rejected and despised, and cast aside, nevertheless, I must do what I am commanded: “O Messenger! Deliver the message that has been revealed to thee from thy lord.

And if thou do it not, thou hast not delivered His message, and Allah will protect thee from men.” So far the Protection of Almighty God Allah was with the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, who told me, “Brother, there’ll be Two of Us backing you up: Allah and myself.”

Regardless of how “hard” The Truth may be, it is not my intentions to hurt your feelings, or to preach “gloom” to you that would become “frightened”—unless it frightens you into making the Change that will cause you not to continue to suffer the loss that you are now suffering, which is going to increase.

‘A Watchman over the House of Israel’

Study what is written in the Book of Ezekiel, Chapter 3, verses 16-19.  As God is talking to the “Son of Man,” He says to him: “Son of Man, I have made you a watchman unto the House of Israel. Therefore, hear the word at My mouth, and give them warning from Me. When I say unto the wicked thou shalt surely die, and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked of his wicked way to save his life, the same wicked man will die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.”

So by my warning you, even at the cost of my life: If you don’t do it—if you don’t change, if you don’t get away from your wicked way, God says you will “die in your iniquity.” But if I warn you, and you still persist in wickedness, your blood is not on my hand.

All of you spiritual teachers, you “religious scientists, stop preaching gospel that does not include the Judgment of the World which we are now facing! What kind of spiritual leaders are we if we won’t warn the people?

If you are not going to prepare your people to escape the Judgment, then the scriptures teach us, “Woe to the shepherd who’s feeding himself, and not the flock.” Don’t you think that the people want to know what is going on around them? Don’t you think they want to lift their head up from the “slop trough,” and understand what God is doing to America and the world? Why is the economy failing? Why are the people confused? Why is the government unable to solve its economic dilemma? Why are the clouds of war forming? Why are there wars, and rumors of wars? Why is there drought … why is pestilence coming? Why are earthquakes on the horizon?

“Son of Man,” God said, “I’m setting you as a watchman over Israel …”: My father, Elijah Muhammad, was a “watchman” over this condition, this world, this people, this Time. And he has prepared me the same, to be a “watchman” over you.

The Kingdom’s Rightful Heirs

I previously mentioned exegesis given by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad on four Parables of Jesus that are literally about the Black Man and Woman of America and the Western Hemisphere (“The Lost Sheep,” “The Prodigal Son,” “The Stone that The Builders Rejected” and “The Wicked Husbandmen”).

If you remember in the parable of the Wicked Husbandmen found in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 21, and the Book of Luke, Chapter 20, it is talking about a vineyard. After the owner of the vineyard let it out in the hands of some wicked husbandmen, he would send people into the vineyard to check on the fruit of that vineyard. The definition of a “husband/husbandman” is a master of a house; or a tiller and a cultivator of the soil.

When God made the Caucasian people a “ruler/vicegerent” over the peoples and societies of the Earth, and their institutions, God sent prophets into the world. The Mission of those prophets was to see what was the fruit of your work in His vineyard? Did you cultivate the people? Did you bring them into their humanity, and expose to them their latent (“hidden,” “dormant,” “unexpressed”) Divinity?

Or did you kill the prophets? Imprison them? Beat them? Lie on them? And destroy the righteousness of their work?

The scripture teaches us that when the heir to the vineyard—the owner’s son—was sent into the vineyard, the Wicked Husbandmen seized him and killed him. After this happened, Jesus, talking to the Jewish people of that time, asked the question, “What will the owner of that vineyard do when he comes?” which is the same as saying:

“What will God do when He makes His Appearance in the world?” After they gave their answer, Jesus said to them: “Have not you read in the scriptures, that the stone that the builders rejected has become the headstone of the corner… .” I want you to focus on these words that follow, which tells us what God’s Promise is to the Heirs of His Kingdom. Jesus said:

“Therefore I say unto you that The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever will fall on this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”

The prophets have come, and some you beat, some you killed, some you cast into prison.

Did you know that we, the Black people of America in particular, and those in the Western Hemisphere—who are the victims of the worst slavery in the annals of history, who were brought into the Western Hemisphere in this crime against humanity called the International and Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade: We are the Heirs of that Promise. We were seized. We were beaten. We were imprisoned. We were put to death “mentally,” and also put to death physically.

When Jesus of 2,000 years ago made this parable, and asked, “What will the owner of the vineyard do on his coming?” Jesus is literally saying to the people to whom he was speaking: What will God do when He comes into the world after your 6,000 years of mis-rule is up? And they gave the right answer: “He will miserably destroy those wicked men. And he will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen which will render him the fruits in their seasons.”

You have taken this people, the Black People of America and the Western Hemisphere, and stripped us of our connection to Africa, to our own religion and God, and to our own culture and name.

You have had sway over the Earth and its people. You have had power to set up your institutions of governance, your institutions of religion, your institutions of jurisprudence, your institutions of education and your institutions of economics. This is your world. In the Bible, the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation, the scriptures mention a “4th Beast,” which is “more terrible than any other”—this is referring to America.

And another Beast is described as having “the ribs of a man in his mouth.”… We are that people that you have “torn to pieces” and because we are the Heirs of that Promise: As you have destroyed us, the God Who is Present is now destroying you. Today, The God of Our Salvation has appeared, and there is no “power” that you have that can stop Him from Redeeming the Black Man and Woman of America and the Western Hemisphere and fulfilling His Promise to us.

What is that Promise? It is the Promise that was given to Moses, that God was going to take the Children of Israel and separate them from Pharaoh and the Egyptian people of that time. Also, God was going to send them into a land and that He would give them a land “flowing with milk and honey.” That same Promise is extended to the Black Man and Woman of America: He Promises us land.

God says He will take the kingdom from you, and He will give it to “a nation that will bring forth the fruits thereof …” What “nation” is that? This nation is talked about in the 2nd Surah of the Holy Qur’an when Abraham and Ishmael had laid the foundation of the Spiritual House that is the Spiritual Center for all Muslims, the Holy Ka’abah at Mecca. … The scriptures are clear: A nation is going to be given the Kingdom, and that nation is a nation carved out by God for Himself of the Black Man and Woman of America.

God has asked you: “Let them go,” because God has something for them to do for His Glory. If you let them go, the Calamities that you are suffering will decrease. But if, as you are doing now, you plan to fight against God, and plan to deceive the Black man and woman that they may go down into hell with you, then God will still separate them because He has the power to do so—and you will go to hell by yourself.

The Signs of Distress, Confusion plaguing men and nations

Jesus told us of a lot of  “signs” that would be spoken, and that would be fulfilled; and these signs would tell us the Time. Let us study what is written in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 24, verse 34: “Verily, I say unto you: This generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled.”

How many generations have passed since Jesus preached those words? It has been 2,000 years, so how many “generations” have come and gone since those words were uttered?

Surely this prophecy could not have been talking about the time of Jesus The Prophet, that “this generation shall not pass till all these things are fulfilled.” When you check what a “generation” is, according to the dictionary it is a span of 30 years. If we calculate how many times 30 goes into 2,000 the answer is 66.666 times. Does that number ring a bell? It is the Number of the Beast—and the Hour of His Destruction has come.

So I can say in the name of the Great Mahdi, Master Fard Muhammad, and in the Name of His Christ, the Great Messiah, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad: This generation shall not pass until every word that Jesus of 2,000 years ago spoke, and every word that Elijah Muhammad  has spoken to us, shall be fulfilled.

 In Message To The Blackman in America on page 292, in the Chapter titled “The Judgment,” the Honorable Elijah Muhammad says that “the sun,” “the moon” and “the stars” are really causing great consternation (feelings of anxiety or dismay, terror or fright, typically at something unexpected) on the Earth.

The scripture mentions “men’s hearts failing them for fear.” What is the No. 1 killer of people in America? I have read that it is heart failure. What are you afraid of, America?  Look at the storms! Look at the tornadoes! Look at the hurricanes! Look at the water! Look at the fire! Look at the wind! Look at freezing cold! God is after us. Men’s hearts are failing them with fear for what they see coming upon the Earth.

The nations of the Earth are in distress—with perplexity, which means confusion. Are the heads of our government confused? The past two years have been the start of the era of artificial intelligence, and the prevalence of AI in workplaces may be increasing faster than people realize. 

AI is advancing at a breakneck pace, especially in the field of generative AI. What started out as a tool that could help the everyman in their tasks and improve efficiency is continuing to refine itself, and now, the leaders in the AI field are already touting what can come next.

If the predictions of top AI industry figures like OpenAI's Sam Altman and Meta's Mark Zuckerberg are to be believed, 2025 is set to be the start of the era of the AI super-agent. These AIs are, in theory, smarter and have far more utility than their predecessors, and are capable of carrying out more complex tasks by themselves. 

To put it simply, AI super-agents could potentially be able to do jobs typically done by humans, meaning AI may be coming for your job. 

But what is the truth behind this claim? What is pushing the public discourse around AI super-agents? And will something like ChatGPT really be coming for your job in the near future? 

Here is everything you need to know about AI super-agents and what they can, in theory, do.

What is an AI super-agent?

To understand what a super-agent is, it's important to first understand what an AI agent is.

Putting it simply, an AI agent is an AI software that can work towards a specific end by itself. This means it can perform tasks without human assistance and can make decisions on its own. 

This itself isn't anything new. Other companies have already debuted AI agents that can interact with computers, and OpenAI has already been reported to be working on an AI agent that can interact with a web browser by itself. That AI agent, reported to be called "Operator," according to reports published back in November 2024, could debut before the end of January 2025, or at least a preview of it, but what exactly it can do and what its limitations are have yet to be revealed.

A super-agent, in theory, is an AI that does even more than that. According to a report from Axios, rather than responding to a simple command or undertaking simple tasks, super-agents would be able to carry out far more complex matters in the pursuit of their goal. This doesn't just mean making decisions, it could mean creating complex and detailed plans and analyses to plan what is essentially an entire vacation, including making the relevant bookings and reservations or even creating entire products from scratch.

Will AI super-agents be coming for your jobs?

This is the biggest question with new advancements in AI, and for good reason. In the past few years, many companies around the world have already seen widespread adoption of AI, which has come at the cost of human staffers. 

According to a June 2024 survey by Duke University and the Federal Reserve Banks of Richmond and Atlanta, nearly 60% of companies have already started implementing ways to automate tasks that human employees used to do. And according to that same survey, that is set to continue into 2025. 

The reason for this is twofold. AI being automated can be used to boost productivity and efficiency, and AI is also cheaper than humans. 

But if an AI super-agent is as good as many are predicting, AI could see even more widespread use in a wide range of industries. 

For example, making a product, such as software, from scratch is a legitimate possibility for an AI super-agent. In fact, Mark Zuckerberg said as much in a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. There, he predicted that Meta and other companies could soon release an AI that "can effectively be a sort of midlevel engineer that you have at your company that can write code" and that this could be a reality in 2025. 

OpenAI's Sam Altman hasn't been as vocal about this timetable as Zuckerberg, but he and his company have been touting the prowess of the next generation of AI, with OpenAI officials having compared them with a human with a PhD. In addition, Altman is also set to meet with US lawmakers and officials to demonstrate OpenAI's new tech, which will "show the economic power of AI," according to The New York Times. 

Will AI super-agents really be coming for your jobs in 2025?

Despite the bold claims in many reports about the imminent arrival of AI super-agents, it is unclear how much of what is being touted about these yet-to-be-released programs is genuine rather than simple hype.

Taking to X/Twitter, Altman said that Twitter hype was "out of control" and stressed that the company is not going to deploy artificial general intelligence (AGI), a term used for AI with cognitive skills on par with or greater than that of a human, within the month, and stressed that people's expectations should be lowered. 

The possibility of AI taking over many jobs, however, is still something many experts say is likely, but not in the immediate future.

Speaking to CNN in June 2024, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman said that AI disruption in the labor market is coming, but not right away.

"I believe in three to five years, we’ll all have kind of an agent co-pilot that's helping us with anything from how we cook dinner… to doing your job and writing and so forth," he told CNN. "It's job transformation. Human jobs will be replaced - but will be replaced by other humans using AI."

Key factors driving the shift in 2025

Several major factors make 2025 a pivotal year.

Donald Trump’s victory in the US elections and his inauguration speech, in which he expressed support for sending astronauts to Mars, has reinforced the strategic priority of space exploration.

At the same time, his close ally, Elon Musk, has been positioned in a highly influential role, which could impact space-related priorities.

Additionally, NASA has undergone leadership changes, with Jared Isaacman – a private astronaut and entrepreneur from the commercial sector – appointed as the new administrator.

Ranks initiative

 Nine years before the beginning of the Israel-Hamas War, IDF Maj.-Gen. (res.) Doron Almog – who received the Israel Prize and is now chairman of the Jewish Agency – launched a voluntary organization called Closing Ranks.

It specializes in offering thorough, high-level personal guidance and mentoring in various life areas for young men and women, many living in the periphery, who have difficulty finding a job or studying, running their financial affairs, and lacking financial and emotional support from their families.

Little did they know that many tens of thousands of wounded and traumatized soldiers and reservists, evacuees, displaced people, and others would need urgent, personal assistance after October 7, 2023. Many of those who were not wounded suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.

“Since the outbreak of the war, its efforts have become even more critical, as our focus is on assisting young adults in the first cycle of exposure to the war events in the Gaza surrounding area, the southern and the northern districts of Israel, as well as soldiers returning from the front who need emotional support and assistance in processing the difficult experiences they faced during the war,” said Almog.

Almog established the organization together with MK Benny Gantz and National Unity Party MK and former agriculture minister Alon Shuster. Its success rate – those who continue the process and gain from the experience for a year – is 85%.

Operating nationwide from its office in Emek Hefer, its eight paid staff around the country train and supervise mentors from Kiryat Shmona in the North to Yeruham in the South. Closing Ranks’ 1,500 volunteer mentors aged 35 to 50 have worked with over 240 young adults each year.

Today, 70% of those being mentored have been affected by the war, and 24% are reservists. Ninety-one percent said they have no effective support from their families. Approximately 55% are males mentored by males, and 45% are women mentored by women every two weeks. Over 30% of those seeking help are of Ethiopian origin, and there are also many Russian speakers.

As Israel’s largest and leading mentoring nonprofit organization, Closing Ranks plans to triple the number of young adults that it mentors within the next three years, said its deputy director, social worker Miri Rabinovich Marciano, in an interview with The Jerusalem Post.

Oded Solomon, the director, is in charge of fundraising; the organization receives a small amount from the Welfare and Social Affairs Ministry and hopes to receive help from the Defense Ministry as well as more Israeli and foreign donors.

“Our mission in these challenging days is to give these young individuals affected by the war, who are Israel’s future generation, a guiding hand as they return to a proactive life routine while maximizing their abilities, strengthening their personal resilience, for making a meaningful impact on the society of the future,” Rabinovich Marciano declared.

The three released hostages on Saturday, Ofer Kalderon, Keith Siegel, and Yarden Bibas, received their initial nourishment following the extreme starvation they endured under Hamas captivity, as evidenced by their drastic weight loss seen in recent images.

This severe malnutrition is also expected to be reflected in their upcoming blood tests. 

According to the Israeli Health Ministry’s protocol, each of them was provided with tea with sugar, three biscuits, and vitamin B1 (thiamine).

Thiamine works to prevent Refeeding syndrome

This carefully controlled intake aims to prevent refeeding syndrome, a potentially life-threatening condition that can occur when nutrition is reintroduced too quickly after prolonged starvation.

In the coming days, they will undergo a structured nutritional rehabilitation process in hospitals, focusing on weight restoration, protein and fat intake, and correcting electrolyte imbalances.
