Kate Middleton, the 43-year-old Princess of Wales, is known for her healthy lifestyle and workout discipline – and now, another surprising detail about her morning routine has been revealed: a rich green smoothie she starts her day with.

According to reports from Hello! and MailOnline, Kate doesn't begin her morning with coffee or traditional English tea, but with a green health drink containing seven powerful ingredients: kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, cilantro, blueberries, spirulina powder, and a small teaspoon of matcha powder.

Helen Bell from the Help & Advice organization examined the nutritional values of the princess’s smoothie at the request of the British Mirror, and said that four of the seven ingredients are considered "superfoods" – foods particularly rich in nutrients that contribute to overall health: "Spinach, kale, and spirulina are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, while blueberries are known for their high antioxidant content. Matcha, a type of green tea, contains high levels of catechins – natural antioxidants."

She added that these ingredients may help balance cholesterol levels, mainly by lowering bad cholesterol (LDL). Spinach, for example, is an excellent source of antioxidants and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases and even cancer – though more research is needed in the field.

However, Bell emphasizes that this is not a magic drink: "No single food will dramatically change cholesterol levels, but incorporating these kinds of ingredients into a balanced diet certainly supports heart health." She also advises paying attention to portions and individual limitations: "People with thyroid problems may need to limit raw leafy greens like kale and spinach due to their goitrogen content. Spirulina and matcha are very concentrated – so it’s best to start with small amounts and monitor how the body responds."
